ASSOCIATE ASSET MANAGER

Mission Residential, a private multifamily investment and operating company, seeks an Associate Asset Manager with proven analytical and financial experience.  This position involves assisting the Investment Manager with a growing portfolio of regional properties.  The candidate will have strong analytical skills and a background in real estate.  This position will also include preparation of business plans for each asset, analyzing portfolio returns and coordination and implementation of the portfolio unit upgrade program.  There is significant growth potential.  The candidate will report to the Director of Investment Management. 

 

Responsibilities

 Assisting Investment Manager in preparation of annual and 3-year business plans including:Benchmarking Revenues and Expenses against the Portfolio, as well as regional and national indicesProjecting Necessary Capital ExpendituresAssisting the Investment Manager in analyzing portfolio returns and developing a strategy for the portfolio.Portfolio Unit Upgrade ProgramMarket Analysis of Surrounding PropertiesPreparation of Scope and Plan for Upgraded UnitsReturn-of-Investment AnalysisImplementation of Program and Tracking of Costs and Return on InvestmentAssist Investment Manager in Implementation and Tracking of Major Capital ExpendituresMake site visits to determine progress on Business Plan and Unit Upgrade Plan

 Requirements

 

The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree (MBA or Master’s in Real Estate preferred) and have 3 to 5 plus years of experience in financial analysis of multi-family assets.   A background that includes hands-on experience, along with financial analysis (especially for institutional investors) is ideal.  Candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and be team oriented and be able to travel.
