Area Leasing Specialist

Collegiate Development Services is a firm specializing in the development, construction, and management of student housing. CDS is located in the Las Colinas area of Irving, TX. CDS offers a full complement of benefits including comprehensive insurance and 401(k).



Responsibilities:

 

·  Develop and implement leasing strategies for portfolio operations in national markets positioned in State University Systems

·  Conduct training and assessments of portfolio leasing personnel

·  Meet and develop relationships with University administrators for negotiations of overflow housing and master lease concepts

·  Continuous development of local community partnerships

·  Use market research to contribute to design, unit, and amenity mix of student housing developments

·  Attend student housing conferences dealing with leasing and marketing trends 

·  Create and administer surveys, PowerPoint presentations, and lead focus groups 

·  Utilize demographic research to provide marketing and leasing strategies to on-site staff

·  Create and implement quarterly marketing and leasing plans

·   Provide periodic competitive market analysis

·   Build and maintain historical occupancy performance and projection database 

·  Negotiation of leasable area in NET or Flat contracts

 

 

 

 

Skills and Attributes:

 

·  Excel power user with intermediate-level spreadsheet modeling

·  Strong leadership skills

·  Availability to travel into national locations for pre-determined periods of time

·  Preparation for mobilization into start-up leasing environments, requiring the hiring and training of new employees; implementation of business plan

·  Expertise with Word and PowerPoint for report and presentation development

·  Ability to comprehend, interpret, and communicate market data

Education and Experience:

 

·  Bachelors degree preferred

·  Preferred majors include Business, Marketing,  Real Estate, or Sociology (all majors considered based on relevant experience)
 *3-5 years experience in portfolio operations focusing on leasing  and marketing of student housing or similar industry
