Building Engineer

We are currently hiring an Assistant Building Engineer for our new high-rise property in North Miami Beach.

Job Description:

Daily operation and maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and all other building systems.
Electrical repair and troubleshooting.
Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and special projects as assigned.
Assist Maintenance team members with their specific job duties and supervise when needed.
Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
Prioritize service calls, and follow-up upon completion.
Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
Operation of building automation system.
Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
Order parts and supplies as required, maintain stock and inventory control.
Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians.
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all work areas.
Responds quickly to emergency situations.
Comply with all applicable codes and regulations of all governmental agencies having jurisdiction.
Follow Company directives.

Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
3+ years prior experience in building operations/engineering and maintaining equipment and systems.
Building Operations and Maintenance Training Certificates of Completion.
Completion of College or Technical School
Engineering Technical Training.
Must possess an EPA 608 certification for refrigeration.
Desired knowledge and understanding of blueprints.
Driver's License required.
Proven record of excellent customer service a plus.
Strong organization and communication skills a plus.
Intermediate to advance computer skills a plus.
Leadership and team building skills a plus.
