Ensure delivery of product/service in time to meet the requirements of the requestor.* Responsible for source development, vendor selection and cost negotiation.* Obtain and analyze competitive quotes and select vendors on the basis of quality, cost, timing, service and value.* Develop strategic partnerships with vendors and monitor their performance.* Prepare comparative analyses of alternative options for management and make recommendations.* Coordinate with other departments to establish and administer purchasing policies and procedures.* Ensure all required approvals and supporting documentation accompany requisitions.* Follow and enforce company purchasing policy.* Communicate status of requests to Operations team members and follow up with bank orders.* Evaluate existing suppliers; develop and select new suppliers.* Independently troubleshoot discrepancies pertaining to purchase orders, requisitions, supplier deliveries, prices and invoices.* Participate in preparation of comparative analyses of alternative goods/service options for management.* May perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.* 2-4 years purchasing experience.* Experience with building maintenance and/or construction services preferred.* Proficiency with MS Office software.* Detail oriented.* Customer oriented and ability to be flexible with the needs of internal clients and the company.* Excellent communication skills and positive attitude.* Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
