Cognos EP Developer

We are currently seeking a Cognos EP Developer for our Corporate Headquarters, located in Parsippany, NJ to perform business analysis, develop requirements for model/application designs, enhance existing and new models/applications and perform production support work.

 

 

· 1-3 years experience supporting and designing 7.3 or greater Cognos Enterprise Planning application (Analyst and Contributor)

· Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and/or 2005

· Experience with supporting complex Cognos EP models/applications with various libraries containing on average 5 cubes/dimensions.

· Background with Cognos 8 BI products preferred.

· Knowledge of financial processes including financial data modeling, budgeting, forecasting, basic accounting calculations, chart of accounts, and hierarchies.

· Use of version control software such as ClearCase, PVCS or VSS preferred but not required.

· Translate customer needs into system requirements and propose model designs.

· Knowledge of accounting/financial software and/or real estate systems.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

· Ability to work with several departments within the organization, main interaction being with the Financial Planning and Analysis group.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

· Bachelor’s degree in a technical or financial/accounting area preferred
