Director of Information Technology

 

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Director of Information Technology to join our growing organization.

Requirements:

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for all aspects of information technology infrastructure within a major firm. This position provides technology leadership and support in the design and implementation of infrastructure technology and end user support. The IT Director assists the Sr. Director of IS & Technology in the planning process to support business operations and achieve more effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations. This poistion is responsible for staff, processses, and technology that comprise IT.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Oversees the implementation and on-going management of network security enterprise-wide Anticipates future infrastructure needs and identifies proactive solutions to satisfy them Monitors system performance and availability Directs any required system tuning or optimization Ensures the development and maintenance of system documentation Technical lead on corporate IT initiatives such as business continuity, disaster recovery, wireless email, etc. Oversees the planning and management of telephone systems company-wide and oversees upgrade efforts Reviews and approves testing procedures for infrastructure upgrades Ensures appropriate change management procedures are followed Oversees the management of help desk activities and resolves escalated issues if necessary Reviews and prioritizes help desk tickets and requests with IT managers

Qualified candidates will possess: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent relevant experience  8 years of relevant IT experience establishing, maintaining, and trouble-shooting IT infrastructure 5 years of supervision experience in IT infrastructure Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure in Microsoft, Cisco and Nortel environment Demonstrated skill in managing networks with voice and data communications Demonstrated project management expertise Excellent technical and leadership skills Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
