DIRECTOR OF REAL ESTATE

We are currently seeking a Director of Real Estate to work nationally for clients as part of the Retail Outsourcing Services team dedicated to providing transaction services and strategic planning for our clients in enclosed mall locations. This position's location is flexible. DIRECTOR OF REAL ESTATE - Chicago, ILResponsibilities: Work with clients to integrating their real estate plans with their business needs Implement multiple real estate transactions including lease renewal, store relocations and new store site acquisition across a broad geography for one or more clients concurrently Understand corporate real estate organizations, process, and performance measurement issues, complete multiple transactions for multiple clients, prepare and negotiate detailed lease commentsRequirements: Minimum of 5 years experience in Tenant Representation or Corporate Real Estate Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer proficiency using Excel, Word and PowerPoint in particular Strong initiative and ability to work in a fast paced environment are essential for success in this position Strong real estate transaction and negotiation skills and have the ability to take complete and independent responsibility for managing one or multiple accounts Ability to interact with client's operation teams and corporate support to determine long term strategy for existing stores and the positioning of new store openings Experience and ability to interact with corporate and outside counsel through lease negotiation and execution to facilitate and resolve any issues or changing business terms Solid understanding of a retail build-out and the construction process to work with the project management team during the budgeting, scheduling and store build-out Experience working with national REITs such as GGP, Simon, Westfield, and Macerich among many others Strong financial and analytical skills High level of customer service skills and professionalism Start a lasting career with Jones Lang LaSalle today!
