Design Connection Manager

 

International Market Square (IMS) is the upper Midwest’s premiere resource for fine home furnishings, kitchen/bath and remodeling products, as well as interior and architectural design services.

 

We are currently seeking an individual to fill a the position as the Design Connection Manager to serve as the front line manager, contact, and administrator for the property’s primary design referral service which matches consumers with professional interior designers and provides a way for consumers to make purchases in IMS’ home furnishings showrooms.

 

As the Design Connection Manager you will be responsible for implementing the strategies and objectives of the program and following through with daily operations and tactics.  In addition, the position will supervise and work with the Front Desk Concierge; promote the Design Center concept, available products and services to both consumers and the design trade; and provide customer service to all building visitors and tenants.  The Manager will interface and trouble-shoot with all building tenants; perform some administrative duties using Microsoft Office, database programs and Outlook; and provide assistance with other building-sponsored events and programs.  The position is full-time, exempt, and may include some evening and Saturday hours.

 

Post secondary education and 5+ years of experience an understanding of the professional designer/trade profession and skills in customer service and sales preferred.  Must have excellent communication and organization skills, experience managing staff or volunteers, and customer service background or aptitude.  Strong understanding or interest in interior design and decorating, architecture and furniture are important.  Must be outgoing and personable, with a can-do, pro-active and helpful attitude.
