Director - Facilities Management

We are currently searching for a Director of Facilities Management. This position will lead the strategic planning and coordination for facilities related functions for the new headquarters building.
Job Accountabilities:
· Lead the research of best practices, assessing stakeholder needs, planning, and implementation of innovative and cost-effective processes, tools, and solutions in support of department and company goals for the transition and ongoing facility support of the headquarters.
· Participate in the strategic space planning and design for initial floor plans and responsible for the ongoing space planning and coordination of all facilities (including remote sites).
· Provide leadership and oversee project management functions, including planning, budget review, assisting with issue resolution in the deliverables supporting the new headquarters.
· Communicate and coordinate with business units and various support services (IT, HR, Physical Security, etc..) as it relates to the transition to the new building and collaboration of services for ongoing sustainability.
· Ensure applicable policies and required documentation is in place for Wellmark Headquarters building, including any culture and procedure changes to support LEED sustainability.
· Contract with outside vendors, in coordination with Procurement.
Job Experience & Skills:
· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or other work experience.
· 7 to 9 years demonstrated facilities management experience in a corporate environment, with a similar size and operational nature. New building facilities project planning experience preferred.
· Proven ability to lead major projects (experience in move in design/new construction sites preferred).
· Demonstrated efficiency in facility design (furnishings, ergonomics and architectural).
· Demonstrated experience in managing vendor relationships and successful implementation of large scale project work.
· Excellent organization skills, time management, and multi-tasking skills, including ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and meet tight deadlines.
· Excellent communication skills including working with all levels of management, providers, members, and vendors.
· Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access and Notepad.
· Demonstrated knowledge in using web-based software tools.
· Experience working independently in a demanding fast paced environment.
