Financial Reporting Manager

We are a dynamic, growing Commercial Real Estate Investment Company in Orange County, CA and we currently have an opportunity for an SEC Financial Reporting Manager. The Financial Reporting Manager will be a CPA who has an interest in a dynamic Corporate setting and is looking to make a significant contribution to the corporation’s functional and organizational development.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

·  Lead external reporting function including consolidations, drafting SEC filings, including filing of quarterly and annual SEC Reports.  Assemble and prepare 10Q, 10k, 8K, and footnotes.

·  Apply strong technical knowledge to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC rules.  Serve as liaison with external SEC personnel and “Big 4” independent auditors. 

·  Identify research and resolve key accounting issues impacting the company, including new or contemplated transactions and newly release accounting guidance. Research, interpret and advise Senior Management team on Generally Accepted Accounting Principals. 

·  Interface with internal reporting, planning, budgeting, business controller groups, and global corporate accounting team.

 

Requirements:

·  5-8 years of experience filing SEC documents

·  Oversee 1-2 public company filings. 

·  Supervisory experience

·  CPA with public accounting experience

·  Experience with SOX
