Full Charge Bookkeeper - Accountant

Administrative Services Position:                Full charge Bookkeeper/ Accountant – 1 position available

 

Job Purpose:         

 

Responsible and accountable for maintaining books/ financial statements and reviewing management reports of APF Properties outside managers and provide financial analysis support to two principals of a growing Manhattan-based real estate company (90%). Administrative assistant coverage (10%)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  Bookkeeping: APF Properties/KB Funding balance sheets/income statements/ general ledger: paying bills for APF Properties and charging buildings for management expenses incurred; reconciliation of receipts to building charges; maintaining capital accounts for all investors in APF Properties buildings; reconciliation all bank accounts; payroll; insurance; administration of 401 K plan. Financial statements: posting annual and quarterly buildings financial statements on consolidated APF spreadsheet, maintaining comparative historical financial statements and budgets for all APF Properties buildings. Assist in analysis of building financial statements and budgets. Tax related issues: Provide all APF Properties records to outside CPA’s; keep track of all filing requirements; file taxes for simple returns ( non-operating entities, children’s returns). Building management reports: Monthly review of cash receipt and disbursement reports for each of APF Properties buildings to assure proper accounting and to perform analytical tests. Review of reports as outlined in controlling worksheet. Compliance check of CMBS loan obligations: assure that building managers are sending quarterly and annual financial statements to loan services as specified in loan documents. Administrative Assistant coverage (telephone, document processing, etc.) for AA during lunch and vacations.

 

 

Qualifications

   Strong preference for undergraduate degree. At least three years of experience in Real Estate industry is a mandatory requirement. Strong PC skills and excellent knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work prioritize work, exhibiting superior organizational skills.? Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and follow up skills.
