HVAC TECHNICIAN - Santa Clara, CA

We are currently seeking a HVAC Technician to join our office located in Santa Clara, CA. HVAC TECHNICIAN - Santa Clara, CA Responsibilities: Distinguish problems and anomalies from normal operating parameters Trend critical processes info: data centers, labs, hot/cold sites, etc. Maintain any facility support equipment and systems to include chillers and boilers Coordinate building and emergency personnel during emergency conditions Inspect, operate, and maintain various control systems throughout the campus Perform electrical repairs to starters, switches, receptacles and wiring Manage and support contractors and vendors through completion of projects and repairs Develop bid specifications, conduct jobs walks, and process related paperwork Order parts and supplies for projects and inventory Take an active role in developing junior electricians and other technicians Stay informed of safety and code changes through attending seminars and other educational means Develop maintenance, emergency and inspection procedures for team to follow Enhance customer relations and services Provide high quality workmanship Clean up HAZMAT spills as needed Follow all safety procedures and maintains clean work areas Carry a pager and shop radio for rapid response Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards Work in a quality team environment, which includes assisting other trades, and cross training Monitor, operate, troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment including FLS and building automation Coordinate building and emergency personnel during emergency conditions Respond effectively to all emergencies Willingly perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned Requirements: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 1-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Valid Driver's License, in accordance with company vehicle policy, for work that requires local travel to other facilities Universal EPA certificate Ability to troubleshoots/repair boxcar units to 50 tons Understanding of chillers and boiler operations Ability to rebuild and replace condenser/chilled water pumps Familiarity with troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic and DDC controls Ability to understand and troubleshoot build up systems Capability to size ductwork and VAV's for proper air distribution Experience working on feeders, pull wire and make up circuits to 480V; bending and mounting ¾ conduit and terminations; troubleshooting, repairing, and changing out motors to 480V - single and 3-phase Ability to understand and update blueprints Working knowledge of NEC codesStart a lasting career with Jones Lang LaSalle today!
