In addition, we are a member of the prestigious NASDAQ Financial - 100 Index. We are seeking a professional to join our IT team as a Help Desk Technician in our Bethesda, MD headquarters.

The Help Desk Technician's role is to help improve the productivity of CoStar employees by providing a single point of contact for problem resolution and information. This is accomplished through diagnosis, identification, and resolution of problems with hardware, software, LANs, servers and corporate software in a timely and professional manner via telephone and email communication.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Provides guidance, assistance, coordination and follow up on client questions, problems or malfunctions of all systems applications, hardware and software installed and maintained by the company.

- Participants in telephone support rotation; providing support to users in offices across the US via remote assistance tools.

- Documents problems and solutions in help desk tracking system.

- Informs management of potential problems and identifies problem trends.

- Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to computer hardware and software systems.

- Creating and maintaining workstation images.

- Installs hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives, etc.

- Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade of computer hardware and software.

- Provide support for audio-visual systems.

- Videoconference administration.

- Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

- College Degree Required.

- Microsoft Windows certification is a plus.

- One to two years previous Help Desk experience preferred.

- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

- Ability to clearly communicate technical guidance and instructions to users via telephone and email.

- Ability to perform diagnostics, identify problems and communicate problem resolution over the phone.

- Excellent time management skills and ability to handle stress and multiple projects with competing interests for time.

- Experience implementing TCP/IP at the workstation level.

- Knowledge/experience supporting Windows XP/Vista workstations, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suites and Windows File Permissions.

- Video-conference administration experience/knowledge is a plus.

- Experience with a Help Desk tracking system (Track-It preferred).

- Ability to travel on a minimal basis.
