JDE Software Developer II
Job Summary
Under general supervision, formulates and defines applications system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex enterprise information systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs. Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Serves as subject matter expert associated with content, processes and procedures associated with enterprise applications. Applies functional knowledge to design and customization business processes that provide seamless integration for applications.
Provides second-tier support to end-users. Handles problems that the first-tier of help desk support is unable to resolve. Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties. Recommends and/or implements application system modifications to reduce user problems. MUST HAVE E1 experience. JDE Developer

Technology Solutions Development and Deployment
* Understand the information security implications of our technology solutions and ensure they comply with the Information Security policies and processes.
* Design, analyze and coordinate the requests for software improvements made by end users and assist with the evaluation and resolution of those improvements.
* Using standard company tools and practices, designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents specialized functional extensions within and in conjunction with the enterprise software applications to meet the specialized needs of BLL.
* Designs and develops software-based solutions where there is no commercial software available to meet the needs of the customer.
* Work directly with BLL end-users, user groups, managers and project teams to effectively implement standard BLL technology solutions.
Functional Processes
* Has a detailed understanding of the BLL processes and technology solutions.
* Works with functional departments and their managers with the development and deployment of
processes and appropriate application of technology to support the department's objectives.
* Coordinate, facilitate and communicate the development of "Best Practices" associated with information technology solutions.
Project Management
* Has a general understanding of the ICT Project Management policies, practices and procedures and works toward developing a proven skill set in this area.
* Manage small and/or internal ICT projects using the LL IT PM practices or industry best practice in lieu thereof.
Technology Support
* Provide BLL technology users with appropriate levels of support.
* Assist Service Desk in the support of BLL solutions.
Applications Support
* Assists Service Desk in the diagnosis and remedy of application errors.
* Assists the Infrastructure Team with the operational aspects of the company computing equipment.
* Assists with the company's disaster recovery efforts including the development of processes and procedures, their testing and the actual recovery of application systems and data in the event of a disaster.
Support BLL's Culture to Promote Learning and Development
* Develop material to support learning the standard BLL technology solutions.
* Assist with the training efforts required to make our ICT solutions effective.
Communications
* Ensure timely and appropriate communication of information required to make effective use of our technology solutions.
* Contribute to department- and company-level communication forums.
* Provide documentation to support the appropriate use of BLL solutions.
* Assist with the development and compliance of ICT policies and processes.
* Provide feedback within the Information Technology group regarding the implementation, support and on-going efforts of technology solutions.
New Technology and New Applications Releases and Upgrades
* Ensure thorough understanding of new releases and upgrades of enterprise applications.
* Assess and communicate the impact of upgrades and/or releases on current implementations.
* Project management including planning, process development, deployment and issue resolution to ensure successes with software transitions.
* Keeps current with the latest developments and advances in the technology industry and communicates to the company.
Vendor Relationships
* Establish and maintain positive working relationships between BLL and our technology partners.
* Work with our technology vendors to continually improve the tools available to us.
* Interacts with third-party software suppliers to perform problem resolution and enhancement.
Minimum Requirements
1. 4-year degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology or equivalent experience. 2. 3 - 7 years of technology-related work experience. 3. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. 4. Ability to interface with a variety of technical and business personnel with courtesy, tact and diplomacy. 5. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to direct, organize and communicate with others. 6. Programming and analysis experience (5-7 years). 7. Specific applications specific experience (4 years). 8. Working knowledge of appropriate computing platforms. 9. Competent to work at technical level of all phases of application's systems analysis and programming activities. 10.
