Junior Associate Counsel

Our company currently has a Junior Associate Counsel position available. This position reports to the General Counsel.  Areas of expertise include real estate acquisition, disposition and financing.  National company requires knowledge and/or experience in multiple jurisdictions.

QUALIFICATIONS:  High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills, follow-up skills, and presentation (written and oral). Good problem solving skills.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from accredited university.  Excellent academic record required.  This position generally has three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the real estate acquisition and finance field. 

 

CERTIFICATES and LICENSES:

Must be a member of a State bar association in good standing.

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares and/or reviews letters of intentPrepares and/or reviews broker agreements.Assists local counsel and acquisitions director in drafting and negotiating purchase contracts.Reviews financing term sheets and loan documents. Assists local counsel in acquisition and finance closings. Performs other related duties and assignments as required.Coordinates due diligence review.Reviews title, survey, environmental and due diligence issues with local counsel and project management team
