Legal Intern

Position Description:

Assist attorneys in The Irvine Company’s (“TIC”) Divisional and Corporate Legal Departments with drafting and research projects related to ownership and management of the Company’s office, retail, residential and resort portfolios.Review and become familiar with TIC’s standard office and retail lease forms.Develop and modify standard lease clauses for inclusion in TIC’s negotiated office and retail leases.Assist in the development of a lease negotiation clause book.Attend training and assist with data entry/transmittal of company records for implementing the Company's new records management program.Additional Qualification:Full time law student at an ABA accredited law school.Completion of at least one year of law school and completion of basic real estate law course and/or transactional experience preferred.Familiarity with database structures and functionality preferred.Strong verbal and written skills.Strong interpersonal skills.
