OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

We are currently seeking an Operations Director for our Energy and Sustainability Services (ESS) Business Group located in Chicago, IL. ESS is a global business unit that delivers environmental sustainability services to real estate clients. This position will be responsible for coordinating the activities of individuals that are responding to new business development opportunities and/or executing contracted services related to energy and environmental sustainability. This position will work with an extended international staff, which has extensive experience in energy services, strategic consulting assignments, and LEED related construction and project management. OPERATIONS DIRECTOR - Chicago, ILResponsibilities: Assist the sales and business development team by coordinating the involvement of individuals that are required to deliver energy and sustainability service proposals in their line of business Once a contract is closed, responsible for ensuring that the staff is delivering services according to contract terms and conditions in a timely and profitable manner Ensure that a high degree of customer satisfaction is maintained for both internal and external clients Manage the development of related process documentation, technical tools, templates (e.g., for financial and technical analysis) required for successful implementation of client-serving programs Routine management reporting on business unit performance and progressRequirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, or law Minimum of 8 years experience in the management of a professional staff Minimum of 5 years experience in writing or executing written contracts Demonstrated interest or experience in energy services, environmental sustainability, or green construction and/or project management Strong organizational skills Great interpersonal and team-oriented skills Ability to lead by influence in a matrix managed environment Excellent written, communication, and quantitative skills Travel as required to manage a distributed staffStart a lasting career with Jones Lang LaSalle today!
