PMO Business Analyst Intern
Position Description:
As an Intern in the PMO, you will be assigned as a project team resource with a focus in business processes. You will be responsible for gathering, entering, and conveying information for other project team members.You will assist in documenting requirements for developing a solution to address business needs.Analysis activities will include, documenting report requirements, business processes, analyses of new packaged applications functionality, and considerations of enhancements to existing systems.You will participate in interviews designed to facilitate requirements gathering. You will assist in creating documents that effectively communicate project requirements, business issues, and solution recommendation to team members and stakeholders across the organization.Typical documents you will assist in creating include; report requirements, process documents, business requirements (requirements matrix), design requirements, gap analysis, solution recommendations, test cases, test plans, reference guides, and user documentation. However, it will be essential for you to be able to adapt to other types of documentation that may be required to accomplish a project’s objectives from initial analysis through execution and transition.As a PMO intern you may also be required to assist with the execution of various test plans.Other Duties as Assigned.Additional Qualifications:Minimum Junior in a B.A. or B.S. Program from an accredited University preferably studying Information Technology, Information Systems, or Business/Accounting with an Information Technology or Business Process focus. Previous work experience preferred not required, Masters program intern preferred not required. Experience with project-oriented environments and/or project-based work helpful.Basic critical thinking skills with strong goal oriented work ethic required.Some knowledge of construction or real estate helpful not required.Very strong communication, writing, and presentation skills required.Strong understanding of Microsoft productivity tools including Word, and Excel required. Knowledge of Visio and Power Point helpful.
Qualifications:
Entry Level. Two Years of College (in process for undergraduate degree), pursuing a degree in Information Technology or related field.
