PROJECT MANAGER, CONSTRUCTION

We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Construction to join our office located in Westchester, NY or Troy, MI. PROJECT MANAGER, CONSTRUCTION- Westchester, NY or Troy, MIResponsibilities: Professional planning and hands on management/oversight for multiple Retail Construction Projects Projects under the successful applicant must meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Cost effectiveness to save 8% of budgeted dollars, manage schedule to on time completion and above 90% rating on quality scorecard for all projects Conduct/supervise all project-related due diligence activities to ensure that building as approved by client can be constructed to the approved drawings and specifications During any 12 month period manage between 80 and 120 capital projects that can include carpet replacement, HVAC upgrades, lighting upgrades, roof replacement Lead project teams consisting of any of the following: real estate broker, land planners, architects, engineers, environmental consultants, general and specialty contractors, sign vendors, client security, client telecom, and client furniture and special millwork vendors, property management, and client merchandising vendor Oversee and prepare accurate required reports including due diligence, meeting minutes, punch lists, financial funding requests, budget status reports, and special reports on-time and in accordance with pre established formats Assist Manager with on-boarding training for new hires, and providing coaching and mentoring to team members by offering opportunities for experience and providing timely and meaningful feedback on performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accomplish cycle time improvements and cost savings initiatives utilizing Six Sigma and LEAN process improvement methodologies Adhere to all project management policies, processes, procedures, tools and client compliance guidelines with each project to be managedRequirements: Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, construction management or other related focus Minimum of 3-5 (preferably 5) years experience working on commercial projects Basic knowledge of Six Sigma and LEAN methodologies Experience working in a retail banking project environment preferred Demonstrated a high level of performance in project budgeting, contract negotiations and scheduling Excellent communication skills Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and web-based data bases and toolsStart a lasting career with Jones Lang LaSalle today!
