Real Estate Accountant

A privately-held, independent energy company is currently seeking a Real Estate Accountant to perform accounting for partnerships established to develop certain properties. Position will perform all accounting duties for partnerships, prepare budget to actuals reports and prepare forecasts/models.  Successful applicant will be detail-oriented; possess good organizational and communication skills; proficient in Windows-based environment including Excel.  Real estate accounting experience and college degree preferred. 

 

Duties

 Revise and amend a chart of accounts for real estate divisionRecord and pay invoicesManage treasury functions of partnershipsProduce balance sheets and income/expense reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principlesWork closely with site supervisor Produce ad hoc analysis reportsIssue reports that track a project’s estimated costs with actual costsCreate project forecastLoan AdministrationPartnership tax supporting documentation for external CPAPartnership cash calls & comparisonRecord HUD’sPrepare Bank Draw Requests for Construction FinancingMaintain insurance coverage and accounts
