POSITION DETAILS

We are searching for the right candidate to join our team as a Senior Payroll Coordinator for our Corporate Office.

 

Primary objectives of this position are:

The Payroll Coordinator acts as a liaison and resource for Division management, HR Representatives, and employees.  The incumbent works under the general direction of the Director of Human Resources and performs timely and accurate payroll processing and reporting.

 

Primary responsibilities: Performs accurate and timely processing of 1350 Employee’s bi-weekly payroll.Audits bi-weekly payroll to ensure accuracy.Performs all year-end payroll activities to ensure a smooth transition on W-2 reporting and the New Year payroll processing.Works collaboratively with the Corporate HR Team and division HR Representatives to ensure timely and accurate payroll.Discusses payroll processing errors and exceptions with division HR Representatives to discover the root cause(s) of errors.  Keeps manager informed of problematic areas and works with HR Reps, Division Controllers or Division Presidents to eliminate the problem.Prepares various payroll reports for Corporate HR and division offices.Consults with Director of HR whenever a payroll report request appears to be beyond the requestor’s “need to know”.Trains Corporate HR Team and HR Representatives on job-related payroll activities.  Supervise two payroll coordinators.Serves as back-up contact to ADP and ensures ADP meets all service level expectations. Maintains accurate ADP employee files and payroll records.Distributes ADP payroll reports.Processes new hire, status changes, and termination paperwork.Generates manual checks. Handles calls, emails, and daily task relating to payroll issues.Answers garnishment and child support inquires and processes payments.Handles annual worker’s compensation audit.Completes monthly productivity and turnover report.Supports all payroll activities for acquisitions to ensure a smooth transition.Complete projects, special assignments and other duties as required.Ensures compliance with SOX and other related payroll policies and procedures.



Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred or meets the requirement for number of year’s related experience.Minimum 5+ years ADP PC Payroll for Windows and ReportSmith experience.Detail orientedAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Strong computer skills with extensive working knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software.Must be able to plan and organize workload appropriately to meet deadlines.
