Job Title: Shift Engineer 

Job Summary:

EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a Shift Engineer in Washington, DC who will be responsible for performing a variety of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in a brand new state of the art critical facility. Perform trouble calls, plant watch and building tour duties for all building systems, including but not limited to, Fire Life Safety systems, chillers, hot water heating, supplemental air conditioning, pumps, heat exchangers, DDC controls and domestic water service to all customer equipment and areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Monitoring & Maintaining all MEP equipment as required

§ Basic troubleshooting and reporting of any unusual operating conditions found during routine inspections

§ Responding to all house calls in a timely and professional manner to determine and rectify mechanical equipment malfunctions, emergency response and performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:  Qualified candidates must have at least 3-6 years of experience in commercial building operations and maintenance. Must have experience with central plant/chillers, electrical, emergency power systems, energy management, general repairs, water treatment, and fire life safety.  Must be able to read construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing blueprints and specifications and PC skills.
