Software Quality Assurance/Customer Support Analyst

We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced individual to fill the role of Software Quality Assurance/Customer Support Analyst.  This individual will act as an internal resource testing technical projects throughout the project life cycle, providing feedback for development teams to ensure that the solution meets the business needs, and preserving quality control objectives.  In addition, this position will have customer-facing responsibilities for responding to end-user queries about released software products.

Responsibilities Include:

· Construct test cases from business specifications

· Deploy solutions to test environment

· Select and maintain data sets for testing and validation

· Execute manual and automated test suites

· Interact with software developers and end-users to identify and describe software defects

· Log and communicate quality metric results

· Construct test support utilities and implement automated testing scripts

· Participate in design reviews

Qualifications:

· 3 - 4 years of experience and proven track record in performing QA and Customer Support efforts

· Proficient in software testing and debugging methods and approaches

· Strong knowledge of software QA tasks, especially generation of test cases and test plans, QA planning, execution, estimating, problem reporting and tracking

· Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Software Development methodologies

· Strong problem-solving skills: Detail-oriented, work independently and in a team environment

· Strong customer relations skills

· Ability to communicate all findings, logging test results plus reporting on testing progress

· Able to effectively communicate technical issues clearly across departments and to all levels of management

Experience Required:

· Web-based software applications

· Excel-based data manipulation

· Microsoft Team Foundation Server

· Automated testing experience, including creating, maintaining and updating scripts

· Relational databases, including schema definitions, SQL queries, query tools, and data modeling tools (Preferably MS Access or SQL Server)
