Homes For America Holdings, Inc. is a prominent, multi-state real estate corporation anticipating substantial growth in its portfolio over the next several years and is now seeking a VP of Finance at its corporate headquarters in Yonkers, New York.  This intrinsic key position will head the finance department and will lead all capital markets and finance functions.  The successful candidate will be an accomplished real estate and structured finance professional with transaction-oriented experience, a proven track record in creating large finance streams, and established streetside contacts with both commercial banks and the national and international investment banking community.  The successful candidate must also have solid business acumen, strong managerial and leadership skills and a proven track record in closing transactions.

 

 

Reports to:  CFO

Status:  Exempt

Salary:  Highly competitive, with incentives and participation commensurate with experience.  Please state salary requirements.


Job Requirements7+ years of progressively challenging real estate finance experience and a proven track record in creating large finance streams in a finance/capital markets and/or banking environment, with at least three years at the VP Finance/equivalent level.Proven track record directing and managing private debt and capital markets transactions. Knowledge of various municipal finance, tax incentive and subsidy programs and compliance as it relates to specific transactions.Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, demanding and dynamic environment. Creative and strategic, forward thinker with a strong intellect and ability to make decisions in a timely and effective manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.BS in Finance or related field is required.  MBA preferred.
