Commodity Specialist
Job Profile:Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s Corporate Purchasing Department has an immediate opening for Commodity Specialist. This individual will provide overall purchasing management of automotive shop equipment and tooling, car wash equipment and supplies, vehicle glass repair and replacement and various other commodities for the company by working directly with outside suppliers and internal customers. Our ideal candidate will develop, manage, and maintain commodity strategies, supplier strategies, and supplier relationships to ensure best-value pricing of products and services. In addition this person will meet on time delivery expectations, and investigate new products, equipment, and technology to realize cost savings and process improvements for the company. Responsibilities: Negotiate, develop, implement and manage the various contracts, pricing, programs, etc. for fuel, corporate travel, corporate card, office equipment and various other programs Draft and release RFP/RFQs and advise on product and service alternatives to reduce cost and improve productivity Conduct complex total cost financial analysis to determine best value for the organization and evaluate the processes and competitive pricing from outside suppliers Provide direction to and act as the main liaison between the company and its suppliers for assigned commodities Initiate, implement, and expand the diversity supplier purchasing programs Investigate the integrity, capabilities, capacity, etc. of suppliers and strategically negotiate national account material and service agreementsQualifications: 1-3 years of related purchasing experience Professional Purchasing certification, C.P.M., CPSM, A.P.P., etc. is preferred Strong negotiation, organization, and prioritization skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail Ability to handle multiple, often competing situations with a high sense of urgency Must be comfortable working independently or as a productive member of a team Provide excellent customer service while building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal/external customers Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) skillsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain Management/Business) preferredTo Apply:If you are interested and qualified for this opportunity, please click on the link below to complete our on line application. https://www.enterprisejobs.com/default.asp?presets=req=7731-CommoditySpecialist-05-02-08 We are an equal opportunity employer.
