CONTROLLER/ACCOUNTANT

Hammond, LA office has a full time position available for an accountant to work in a pleasant, business casual office environment.  Great company and great benefits.  Benefits include health and life insurance, long term disability, 401(k), vacation, paid holidays, and more.  Responsibilities include financial statement preparation, accurately entering data into computer programs, reconcile bank statements, reconcile inventory, and reviewing and coding information for processing.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.  Must be able to create documents and spreadsheets as directed, maintain files and perform various general clerical duties.

Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years experience in accounting duties and financial statement preparation Knowledge of departmentalized accounting preferred Proficient with Excel, MS Word, email and Internet usage Data entry skills a must Accounts payable and payroll experience preferred High attention to detail and able to multi-task Possess excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently Ability to manage accounting staff
