Job Summary

 

As a lead person in the field it is the Fence Foreman’s responsibility to ensure that each fence installation, fence pull or other service is performed to meet NCR standards and the customer’s expectations in an environment that ensures the safety of the customer and all NCR personnel.

 

Essential Functions 

 

Inspect and test vehicle and equipment daily to ensure that it operates safely and correctly.

 

Perform Daily Vehicle Inspection and submit completed inspection form to Dispatch. 

 

Ensure that truck is loaded with all necessary equipment and materials to complete all work assigned for the day. Ensure that loaded is correctly secured before leaving the yard.

 

Report to assigned job, meet with authorized customer personnel to review job, communicate any extra charges to be incurred and obtain authorization to work. If it is a C.O.D. job obtain payment before commencing work.

 

Install or pull fence to NCR specifications and customer’s expectations.  

 

Meet with authorized customer representative upon job completion and provide a completed work ticket detailing items installed and any extra charges incurred.

 

Call in complete and return to NCR or report to the next job and repeat steps C, D, & E.

 

Submit completed work tickets and Daily Fence Pay Sheet upon return to NCR yard.

 

Complete and submit both bi-weekly Driver and Production Tailgate Topics.

Attend quarterly safety meetings.

 

Train Helpers.

 

Maintain safe and clean work area.

 

Perform other duties and/or tasks as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience 

 

High School diploma or General Education Development certificate (GED), and one to two years related experience or training.

 

Skills and Abilities

 

Requires regular contact both inside and outside the company to carry out company business, contracts, and programs.

 

Requires making frequent decisions and the ability to plan and perform usual or difficult work.

 

Assignments require general guidance in planning, scheduling and arranging.

 

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedural manuals.

 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

 

Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

 

Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and customers

 

Ability to work with little direct supervision.

 

Ability to be self-motivated.
