(Part-Time Independent Contractor position with flexible shift hours)

 

DVDXpress, a subsidiary of Coinstar (CSTR), is a recognized leader in the rapidly growing Automated DVD Rental Kiosk marketplace with kiosks placed at a variety of retail chain establishments throughout North America.

This posting is for an independent contractor position based out of the DVDXpress SE Distribution Center in Greer, SC and potentially offers further career growth opportunities for the right individual who understands the strong work ethic of start-up businesses, has a positive daily outlook, and is always looking to expand their skill-sets. There are significant opportunities for the Field Service Coordinator to acquire broad technical knowledge (both hardware and software related) in the course of analyzing field repairs and routing service tickets.  For the successful candidates in the Field Service Coordinator role, there will be many opportunities within 6-12 months timeframe to apply for full-time employee positions within DVDXpress organization.

 

Role summary:

The "Field Service Coordinator" primary role is the accurate initial troubleshooting identification of daily kiosk crashes and timely routing/scheduling of repair service tickets and repair parts to an appropriately qualified technician near the kiosk location. Many types of kiosk crash issues (i.e. DVD Case jams or software file corruption on the DVD Rental kiosk computer) can be analyzed and directly solved remotely by the Field Service Coordinator and/or with assistance of store personnel. This front-line service support role involves significant daily interaction and logistics planning coordination with both external and internal staff of varying skill levels and requires someone with a strong attention to detail and persistent follow-up. The overall end goal is to directly assist the in-house Technical Service Operations team in maximizing the Kiosk Network Customer Uptime in DVDXpress North American Region.

 

Reports directly to: DVDXpress Technical Services Manager

 

Requirements:

1) Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills (constant phone interaction with retail kiosk locations/technicians and recording/dispatching of accurate service tickets/emails)

2) Must be knowledgeable in Windows-based computer environment (daily applications used are Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, UltraVNC, MS Excel, PDF, and MS Word)

3) Must be a detail-oriented and analytical individual who is capable of maintaining a very patient and positive demeanor in all daily interactions

 

4) Must have experience and confidence to work in a fast-paced environment...especially one that will continually re-prioritize itself on a daily basis based on incoming field crash volume loads
