Job Summary - Regional Sales Manager - Houston Avis Budget Car Rental, LLC is searching for a Regional Sales Manager based in the Houston, TX area to join the Corporate Sales department.  This job contributes to the success of Avis Budget by managing a group of Account Managers' efforts in the area of improving market position for both the Avis and Budget brands and generating incremental business through various means of distribution including but not limited to commercial and association segments.  The Regional Sales Manager will effectively promote the Avis and Budget brands, products and services by maintaining and developing strong sales teams, while optimizing quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities - See disclaimer below for further information. The essential duties and responsibilities as well as knowledge, skills and abilities include but are not limited to the following: Manage the sales force’s efforts in areas of market penetration and new business opportunities Monitor and evaluate regional and local market trends Communicate sales and pricing strategies/programs to the sales team Implement and customize strategies to be executed by the Account Managers Train, coach and develop sales team based on company strategic selling and account management techniques Assist account managers on sales calls to assist in complex and or major contract negotiations as well as to observe and provide immediate feedback Demonstrate leadership through hiring, coaching and developing a highly effective account management team that delivers results Perform human resource functions pertaining to performance management and development Utilize Salesforce.com to measure weekly/monthly activity and to track regional results Car rental or travel related industry experience a plus Completed Master’s degree preferred Able to relocate for promotional opportunities a plusRequired Experience: Completed Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 4 years outside sales required. Minimum of 3 years employee management/supervisory experience required. Willingness to travel overnight for business without restrictions up to 60% of working time required (as business needs dictate), and candidate must have a valid driver’s license.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent time management and analytical skills Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Excellent time management, planning and organization skills Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency Excellent consultation and presentations skills Strong interpersonal, team building and motivational skills Contribute both individually and as part of a team Superior problem solving and analytical skills — must be resourceful and creative with solutions Solid PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce.comDisclaimer - The information on this posting has been designed to advertise the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
