Company: Whole Foods Market Status: Full Time Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Location: US-CA-Silicon Valley/San Jose Job Category: Sales/Retail/Business Development Job Description Summary: Performs all functions related to cheese and specialty item preparation, counter service sanitation, and stocking of products. Purchases and merchandises cheese for the department. Maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient Customer Service. Will Do: 1. Perform all duties and responsibilities of Specialty TM 2. Purchase cheese for department. 3. Responsible for achieving and exceeding margin and sales targets 4. Request and ensure proper signs for all sale items 5. Participate in regional promotions program 6. Process invoices and returns 7. Control spoilage: generate turn movement; and participate in monthly inventory 8. Must strive to receive favorable TCS score 9. Comply with all FDA regulations when assisting customers in selecting products that best suits their needs 10. Supervise assistant if applicable 11. Maintain safe and organized back stock cooler and warehouse 12. Provide excellent customer service 13. Comply with all applicable State of California Health and Safety codes 14. Perform all duties assigned   Must Have/Be: 1. Extensive cheese knowledge in cutting, production, and taste description 2. Ability to perform physical requirements of a position that requires a great deal of lifting, stacking of boxes and repetitive cutting of cheeses 3. Ability to learn proper use of baler (must be 18 years of age or older) and all other equipment used during food preparation and clean up 4. Ability to get work well with others 5.
