Correctional Food Service/Laundry Worker-Hourly


 

The leader in Correctional Food/Laundry Service  has a rare opening for full and part time hourly positions in one of our county jail facilities. If the following description of a job fits your skills and you are a self-starter who is motivated and is ready for a different type of food service work with "normal" hours, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for. This position includes working with both inmates and staff within a correctional setting.

 

The successful candidate for this position will have a strong background in large quantity cooking and be able to work with a diverse team. Must be able to follow rules and policies in place for the safety and security of all persons within the facility.

 

Duties:

 

* Large quantity cooking for 500-600 per meal. Ability to read and follow directions and recipes, strong problem solving skills and the desire to follow policies and procedures to ensure standards and specifications are met. Works well independently and also can direct others while working alongside. 

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; willing to learn and increase professionalism; accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

*Overseeing inmates large volume laundry services.
