Credit Manager

Seeking quilified Credit Manager for East Texas distribution company. Quilified candidate will posses any of the experience listed below and have BA/BS in Accounting or Finance. This is a direct hire position.Company offers excellent pay and competitive  benefits package.  Job Purpose:Supervises and coordinates credit activates of associates engaged in conduction credit investigations, customer account maintenance, as well as monitors Accounts Receivable portfolio, and collections delinquent customer accounst.  Duties:* Insures proper investigation is made on all new customers by verifiying data on customer account application per operating company and corporate credit guidelines. * Train empplyees to conduct appropriate credit investigations for all new customers. * Responcible for timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting consisting schedules, potential bad debt, DOS, Percent Current, Pay Plans, Recoveries and Write Offs. * Approves or rejects credit exceptions by studying credit request; reviewing credit history of applicant; estimating potential for payment.* Prepares special credit reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account history and trend information.* Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping credit information confidential.* Complies with federal, state, and local credit and information legal requirements by studying existing and new credit and information legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.* Completes credit operations requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.* Maintains credit staff by orienting, and training employees.* Maintains credit staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Skills/Qualifications:Management Proficiency, Developing Standards, Legal Compliance, Reporting Research Results, Customer Focus, Thoroughness, Analyzing Information, Financial Skills Since 1946, Spherion has been helping talented individuals find rewarding job opportunities that drive excellence in their career.
