Director, Information Technology

Biscuitville, Inc is a growing quick service restaurant chain with 50 locations in North Carolina and Virginia.  We are seeking a Director of Information Technology who will oversee and grow the operations of the IT department.  We are targeting candidates who can provide direction and leadership, but who also enjoy the day-to-day hands on roll that is required in this position. The Director of IT is a part of senior management and will work closely with other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

 

Only candidates with at least 10 – 12 years of direct technology management experience who have an understanding of current Microsoft networking and application technologies will be considered.  The qualified candidate must also be familiar with IBM i5 (iSeries, AS400) systems and point-of-sales systems. 

 

Responsibilities:

 Ensures delivery of high-quality technology services and support to all areas of the organization. Manages IT staff; provides leadership, mentoring, coaching, performance reviews; develops and supports individual staff growth plans. Provides expert advice and guidance to Biscuitville Advisory Group regarding IT initiatives and best practices. Provides technology support and resources for company projects. Engages vendors and manages vendor relationships as appropriate. Ensures company compliance with all data security policies and regulations. Manages development of business applications to support company strategic directives. Manages procurement, deployment, and support of technology-related hardware, software, communications, and infrastructure components. Ensures continuous availability of mission-critical technology services and support. Ensures company compliance with technology related best practices, government regulations and industry standards. Regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
