Director of Catering

Our client was founded in 1960. They are privately owned and sales are approximately 500 million. They have about 8500 employees in 10 states. The organization is a leader in the food service industry. They are currently expanding their campus dining division. We are currently searching for a Director of Catering for a campus account in Manhattan, NY. Position Title:  Catering Director Primary Functions: Responsible for overseeing and coordinating events on and off site as well as planning, billing and follow up for all catered events.Reports To:  Resident Director Typical Duties & Responsibilities:· Coordinates catering activities with client representative · Schedule catering associates and distributes workloads · Prepare pre-event and clean-up checklists · Ordering, receiving and inventory of supplies · Communicates with General Manager, Chef and other associates to ensure high quality products and service · Monitors care and operation of delivery vehicles · Follow-up on catered events · Monitors associate job performance · Financial management of catering activities through effective food, labor and supply controls · Works with General Manager regarding menu concepts and special events · Other duties as required and assignedPosition Requirements:· Able to use electronic system for invoicing and communication · Able to follow verbal and written instructions · Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision-making ability · Ability to lead, supervise, train and coordinate activities of others · Able to work flexible schedule · High standard of personal hygiene · Four years catering/supervisory experience · Operational knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment  MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
