Director of Operations for Organic Franchise

Pizza Fusion, a young organic, eco-friendly restaurant franchisor, is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee the overall growth of the company’s national franchise expansion from their corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and in the field.
 
Job Responsibilities:
A value for socially conscious living and an overall concern for the environmentA knowledge and understanding of selective food diets, including organic, vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerant, casein-free and celiac diets.Responsible for the overall growth of a group of Demographic Marketing Areas (DMA) and the franchisees within these DMA, their sales, comparable store growth, adherence to Pizza Fusion’s standards and New Store Development.This person will manage all service and professional activities related to operations and the business development for a group of assigned owners in designated DMA zones of Pizza Fusion's National System.The need to understand in store profitability and how it relates to the DMA/Market goals is imperative.Interaction with marketing, real estate development, accounting and operations is required.The ability to open stores and work remotely for up to 8 consecutive days is a requirement and candidates need not apply if a past history of travel is not evident.Management above store level and a recent past of accomplishments will be required and called upon during the interview.
Our Ideal Candidate will Possess:
Four Year College Degree from Accredited UniversityA minimum of 5 years Restaurant experience at the Regional Level or 7 years of Retail Convenience at the Regional Level.The ability to work independently for periods of time.The understanding of Franchise Law and Franchise Agreements is a requirement.The ability to lead others and provide the necessary energy to motivate a franchisee or group of franchisees towards positive sales and growth.The financial and professional acumen to represent the franchisees to Senior Management.Experience working within a Co-op structureMicrosoft Office Suite capabilities to include: PowerPoint, Excel, Word and OutlookCurrent and valid US Drivers License.

Ability to travel by air and ground – 65%Ability to maintain positive relationships with vendors, franchisees and staff concurrently.Ability to reason and make sound, logical and defendable business decisions.Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.Ability to maintain regular attendance both in and out of market on a consistent basis.The ability to work independently and remotely is required and expected
