Event Sales Manager

We are passionate about the guest experience, providing service that is friendly and knowledgeable. Our relaxing environment serves as a California-style oasis. Our restaurant seeks a proven and experienced Event Sales Manager to join our team in Palo Alto, California.

As an event sales manager you will be responsible for the successful production of group events working with the client from inception including preparation of all event documentation. As a sales-driven position, you will recognize opportunities to upsell the customer and suggest enhancements to create a better event.

Position is primarily responsible for marketing, producing and implementing high-end events for a variety of clientele. Successful candidate will be self motivated, highly organized and have a track record of promoting and executing high-quality events in a fast-pace, casual dining restaurant or hospitality environment. Experience is REQUIRED.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

* Generate all Restaurant group sales through communication, coordination and solicitation of group business.

* Creating and executing annual sales plan.

* Maintain updated collateral, including menus and Event Sales packages.

* Provide outstanding client service at each and every turn, to exceed client expectations.

* Negotiate prices with clients, drawing up contracts and securing payments and final event tracking.

* Maintain accurate records and files for all events utilizing Reserve event software or an alternate manual reporting system.

* Create and implement promotions for seasonal or special packages.

* Assist with coordinating local food or promotional events for location.

* Active involvement in appropriate organizations/associations such as CVB’s, NACE, MPI, bridal associations etc.
