Executive Chef/Food & Beverage Manager at Messina Hof Winery & Resort in Bryan

Messina Hof Winery & Resort is family owned and operated business.  It has been in business for 31 years, and is the third largest winery in Texas.  It is located seven miles from Texas A&M University; 250,000 people live in Bryan/College Station - 90 miles between Houston and Austin.  The Vintage House is a 125-seat restaurant located in the middle of a 40-acre vineyard.  It is an award winning restaurant per Sante Magazine and the first Chaine des Rotisseurs restaurant in the area.

The Executive Chef/Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Vintage House Restaurant (Front of House and Back of House), Wine Bar, Villa food service (10-room bed & breakfast), and Designer Events (event operations).  Will also be involved with the direct marketing and selling of Messina Hof Winery & Resort.  This position includes chef manager duties, monthly presentation of cooking classes, etc.

Three to five years experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant in front of house, kitchen, and event management.  Will supervise restaurant manager, kitchen staff, event sales person, and event coordinator.  Able to use personal computer for register transactions, word processing, spreadsheets and budgeting of expenses incurred, on a monthly basis.  Able to read P&L's and control cost centers.  Good communication and personnel skills; highly motivated and organized.  Must have Culinary Degree and Kitchen Manager's Certificate.
