Food Service Manager/Cook

Food Services Cook (Part Time) and Manager (Full Time) needed to perform and supervises the preparation and cooking of meals and snacks for the residents, staff, and guests.


Responsibilities



Develops/Prepares recipes and menus in conjunction with the consultant dietician and ensures that food is prepared accordingly.


Manages/Prepares food and supply inventories and coordinates all food ordering within budgetary guidelines.


Provides direct childcare and supervision, while teaching and training adolescent helpers in food and safety, as assigned by the house manager.

Responsible for ensuring clean and safe equipment and proper utensils are utilized at all times in food preparation and service with staff.

 Conduct weekly staff meetings with cooks and resident helpers.

Monitors and conforms to existing food service regulations, abiding by all health and safety requirements.

Prepares and caters special events, such as, tours, meetings and trainings.

Maintains food storage areas in safe, clean, and healthy manner.




Requirements


Two years food-service operations.

A valid California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.

* Must meet criminal clearance and child abuse indexing requirements.
