We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Franchise Operations Manager to join our Home Office Team!

 

Under the direction of our Corporate Chef, our newly created position of the Franchise Operations Manager will act as the primary liaison between Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza and the Franchisees to ensure that each new location is representing our brand successfully.  The Franchise Operations Manager will coordinate the training and operations to support the launch our franchise growth in the UAE.

 

Sammy's Woodfired Pizza, based in San Diego, California, is an upscale casual dining concept with 14 units located in San Diego, Las Vegas, Palm Springs and Los Angeles.  We are expanding in our current markets as well as adding new markets in the near future.  You can learn more about our company by visiting our website at www.sammyspizza.com

 

We also operate two other concepts.  Roppongi Restaurant and Sushi Bar is our award winning Asian-fusion concept located in La Jolla. California.  Chef Stephen Window's unique cuisine has delighted restaurant-goers since 1998.  Mosaic Catering is an extension of what we do so well at both Sammy's and Roppongi.  Our catering concept extends our reach into the San Diego community.  As our Franchise Operations Manager, you will have responsibilities such as:  

 

· Lead and monitor franchise operations to ensure consistency of service and product and deliver to standard

· Act as liaison/consultant between home office and Franchisee

· Assist with the hiring and human resource functions with franchisee

· Leads all training to operational standards

· Ensures successful rollouts of company initiatives

· Aid with the execution of the franchisees business plan and strategic direction to achieve desired results

· Provide operational support to franchise operator with execution of all operational standards including menu, safety, sanitation, hiring, training, new restaurant opening

· Drives franchisee complianceEnsure operational readiness for turnover and opening

 

We will also need this person to have a complete understanding of all restaurant functions: food and labor cost, cash controls, inventories, controllable expenditures, legal contractual obligations, marketing, human resources, have related pre-opening construction experience.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college; or two to three years restaurant management experience and/or training and new restaurant openings; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Multi-unit experience preferred.  Previous international experience preferred.  Previous work supporting franchisees required.  Certification from IFA or similar group preferred.  Must have strong communication and computer literacy.  Valid driver’s license required.

 

Travel

50%-70%, frequent overnight travel required.  Working many consecutive days in a row is part of the requirement for this job.
