Franchise Real Estate & Sales Director

Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar is one of the fastest-growing restaurant concepts in the country today with over 500 locations in 37 states. Founded in 1982 by two guys in Kent, Ohio with a craving for authentic Buffalo wings, we've grown into more than a wing joint. We're also a full-service sports bar, with a complete menu featuring everything from salads to appetizers and burgers along with up to 30 beers on tap. FRANCHISE REAL ESTATE & SALES DIRECTOR

This position reports to the SVP of Development and Franchising and can be based in the Southeast Region, or at our home office in Minneapolis. You will develop and execute annual development strategy to support national focus market development and annual franchise sales strategy to support the franchise growth and strategy, as well as the following duties and responsibilities: Develop and implement trade area and site selection criteria for franchised stores. Responsible for the development and ongoing management of the Site Approval Package. Responsible for execution of the Franchise development process from site selection through site approval and store opening. Coordinate with Senior Management to map and finalize Strategic Market Development Plan. Manage and monitor progress of franchised development schedules and makes trade area assessments as to renewals, extensions and termination’s. Insure the development of pipeline locations to support development across the strategic planning horizon. Properly match location to concept to sales potential to ensure success of location. Development and application of franchise impact policies. Utilize state-of-the art analytical tools and resources to resolve proximity issues fairly. Minimize legal exposure from encroachment. Responsible for the execution of the franchise sales process. Requirements: Minimum 7 years direct experience in multiple unit retail real estate and construction, preferably in a restaurant and franchise driven environment. Undergraduate degree in Real Estate or Business related major, with emphasis on business planning, quantitative analysis and/or financial capabilities. Progress towards graduate degree helpful. Experience as a senior development executive managing a national program, direct responsibility for delivering national development rollout performance. Knowledge of the FDD/UFOC. Heavy deal making and franchise sales experience. Development and management of retail Site Approval Packages. Ability to successfully manage people and organizations through influence rather than authority. Strong communication and presentation skills. Capable of creating and fostering a collegial work environment. Outstanding interpersonal skills. The ability to provide leadership and to forge strong relationships with all groups. Computer skills with proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, trade area mapping, site analysis and Internet software in a Windows-based environment. 60%+ national travel. Currently active in real estate, development industry organizations; e.g. ICSC, IFA.
