DO & CO Catering New York, Inc. is the world leading quality Airline and Event Caterer, with our Corporate Headquarters located in Vienna, Austria. We have facilities located in New York, London, Milan, Istanbul, Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, and Salzburg. We are looking for a Manager for our Emirates VIP Lounge at Terminal 4 in New York JFK International Airport.
The ideal candidate is self motivated and possesses strong leadership skills plus 3+ year’s hands on experience on a managerial position. Our Manager works closely with Management of DO&CO NY Catering Inc. to coordinate all aspects of service to ensure smooth & efficient running of the Lounge operation so as to provide the highest standard of customer service and hospitality services to meet the expectations of our first and business class passengers. Our Manager is expected to travel locally to and from our Gourmet Flight Kitchen to ensure this process. Ideal candidate is a quick thinker and an effective decision maker, works well in a fast pace environment that requires a hands on approach to our customers needs. We are looking for a forward-thinking and dedicated individual who can work well as a team member and independently.
Reports to: Management- DO&CO NY Catering Inc.
To him report: Lounge Supervisors, Lounge Service, Lounge Concierge, Lounge Dishwasher and Lounge Chefs and Cooks
Summary of Responsibilities:Responsible for day to day tasks at the Emirate VIP LoungeDirects and assigns tasks to the supervisors and staffs Secure the highest level of customer service per DO & CO standards Design and adapt shift schedules Make sure all administrative tasks are fulfilled (e.g. inventory, time keeping etc.) Manage the day to day relationship with our customer Be the competent partner to our customer and employees Responsible for any necessary project developments Train, educate new and existing staff and supervisors on complying with DO & CO standards Works closely with HR in the hiring process of new staffDevelop and implement new procedures and safeguard existing procedures Identify problematic areas within the Emirates Lounge and implement corrective actionsGuarantee the correct application of the HACCP and all other food safety rules (e.g. FIFO, date marking, correct storing etc.)Responsible to be familiar with all menus, especially with each single food item, quality and preparation methodEnsure the Buffet, Bars, Tables, Bathrooms and Lounge Area are set up correctly and stays visibly unchanged for the lounge guests and for the next shiftEnsure all points of the “Hand Over TO DO” List are fulfilled

Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years experience in management within food industry environmentMinimum of 3 years experience in customer service and hospitality services Bilingual - knowledge of Arabic language or other languages is an advantage Computer literate in PC Microsoft office applications (eg. Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point)Experienced in leading with service staff groups Excellent written and verbal communication skills Outstanding Etiquette is a mustWell organized and dedicated to details
· Highly result orientated, with High level of self-organisation and ability to effectively multi task and prioritize
· Work well as a team member and independently.
· Available to work in a 24 / 7 ambient various shifts without restrictions
