Outside Sales Representative

Purpose: Responsible for the development and maintenance of a portfolio of accounts and achievement of sales and gross profit requirements through the successful selling of the company’s food and non-food products and services to restaurants, hotels, and academic, healthcare and other institutions. Development of new business: a) Identify and properly qualify business opportunities; b) Conduct presentations to potential customers. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and develop increased sales revenue: a) Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel; b) Evaluate market trends and make recommendations to appropriate customer personnel; c) Research customer needs and market a portfolio of products and services to meet those needs; d) Visit customer on a consistent basis e) Record and transmit customer orders within appropriate timeframes. Maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers. Manage and collect all account receivables within customer portfolio by working with credit manager and client. Attend and participate in the coordination of events including food/trade shows, sales meetings, customer presentations, training and promotions, as required. Experience: Minimum of 1 year sales experience in the food/beverage industry or experience as a chef or restaurant manager.Education:  Associate’s degree (culinary arts, hospitality/restaurant mgmt, sales/marketing) or equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills:  Excellent customer service skills, demonstrated oral and written communication skills, computer proficiency.   We offer compensation and benefits packages that are very competitive.
