Payroll Specialist

Payroll and Benefits Administration Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Job Description Duties and Accountabilities – Payroll Specialist   Process high volume bi-weekly associate payroll in a multi state/multi unit environment Complete employment verifications Process associate terminations Generate manual checks as needed Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer associate questions Payroll filing Set-up associate direct deposit Process stop payments and reissues of lost payroll checks Special projects as needed Qualifications High School degree required.  College coursework preferred. 3 years proven payroll experience.  Knowledge of Ceridian preferred.  Excellent written and verbal communication.  Well organized and detail oriented.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. The Payroll Specialist should have knowledge of voluntary and involuntary payroll deductions, banking information, federal and state withholding forms and other employee payroll maintenance.   Must maintain a high level of confidentiality. To apply, please go to www.potbelly.com/jobs under 'Career Opportunities' and 'Human Resources' OR just click the pickle!
