Pricing Analyst

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our Pricing Optimization team in Houston, TX. In this position you will be responsible for supporting the revenue optimization organization through analytical activities, process mapping, gap analysis, and reporting. In this role you will join our Pricing Team and help take our pricing process to a new, more strategic level, redefining our future price management. Key activities•Identify trends and key insights from analysis of SYSCO transaction data•Support the pre / post-processing of optimized pricing and sales recommendations related to the pricing pilots •Analyze economic costs of current and future SYSCO service offerings •Support the development of new pricing strategies through the use of analytics and reporting•Collecting and validating all necessary pricing related data to include the validation of all raw data files received from internal departments and outside resources•Performing all necessary analysis required in the validation and review of end customer pricing•Designing and developing databases required for the storage and analysis of econometric pricing data•Developing ad hoc analysis and reporting to support the pricing and price analysis process.Key Accountabilities•Development of pricing analytics methodologies, tools, and reports•Support pricing tool selection and pricing pilot roll outCompetencies •Data analysis•Process mapping•Decision making•Strong organizational skillsQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:•Possess excellent statistical and analytical expertise along with corresponding software skills•Have experience of database creation and management and data analysis. •Process Mapping; current and future business state including building case for change to include business and user requirements •Shows sound judgment in problem analysis, problem solving, and strategic thinking•Possess solid verbal and written communication skills•Ability to manage multiple work streams with conflicting objectives•Self motivated individual that is able to work at the general and detailed levels•Ability to define, execute and document business processes ensuring that work not only is completed, but can be executed in a consistent and repeatable manner.Education and/or Experience•College degree required•Food service product/category knowledge desired •Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Access required•Previous analytical experience preferred•Experience with Business Objects a plusLanguage Skills•Proficient/Excellent skills in verbal and written communicationsMathematical Skills•Understanding of statistical analysis techniques and conceptsSYSCO offers excellent benefits including PPO Insurance, 401k Plan, Stock Purchase Plan, Product Purchase Discounts, and much more!
