QUALITY CONTROL DIRECTOR

Location: Commerce, California

A successful and growing meat and poultry company established in 1994, we employ approximately 190 employees, we are privately held and offer a benefit package.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Quality Control Director reports directly to the President of the Company. The Quality Control Director directs the planning and development of a total Quality Control policies, program and initiatives. This position requires the assurance that a quality program is implemented and maintained in the highest standards which will allow consistent quality to be maintained.

The Quality Control Director directs the operations in inspection of the Quality Control department to verify products meet the outmost food safety and quality requirements.

The Quality Control Director has the authority to identify problems related to food safety and correct or initiate corrective action, or stop any work or action that violates USDA regulations and the established quality standards.

EXPERIENCED:

• Must have degree in Food Science

• 5 + years experience in food manufacturing industry.

• Must be certified in HACCO, CMP, SSOP

• Computer skills (work, excel)

• Competent in maintaining and administering a well documented quality program that meets USDA regulations and customer specifics requirements as well as Company standards.

• Be able to direct and supervise the work of the Quality Control Technicians in the department.

• The individual must be able to establish and maintain relations with customer representatives in Quality related activities, including inspections, audits and process surveys.
