RESERVATIONIST - NEW RESTAURANT CONCEPT COMING SOON
Restaurant Opening in June, this exciting new upscale full-service concept will serve Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Singaporean, Indonesian and East Indian cuisines. The food is served Asian family-style to create an environment that brings people together. RockSugar also features a full-service bar with exotic cocktails, extensive wine list and private dining space. Responsible for ensuring that each guest is hosted with genuine care and attention throughout his/her phone or dining experience with RockSugar per company policies, procedures and standards. As an integral part of a team, is responsible for continuously looking for ways to improve each guest’s experience throughout the reservation process by ensuring accurate reservation times, accommodating special requests, the strategic mapping of reservations to maximize seating and walk in guest traffic providing a friendly and hospitable reservation experience for every guest. The reservationist will assist with taking To Go orders and support the host staff (as needed) during peak periods of operations, to ensure attentive and hospitable service for every guest. Minimum one year (preferably two years) in related position in a high volume, dynamic, elegant guest service environment Basic knowledge of hospitality/restaurant/retail operations Customer/Guest relations Experience with Open Table Excellent Verbal communications skills Interpersonal skills Basic safety knowledge Teamwork Ability to verbally communicate effectively and positively Basic writing skills Ability to stay focused and alert for a minimum eight-hour shift Use of common sense understanding to carry out routine tasks with appropriate follow-up. Assists various workgroups as necessary including: Servers - refills beverages, obtains extra napkins, silverware or plates for guests; Bussers - assists Bussers in clearing tables so waiting guests can be seated quickly; Kitchen - informs expediter of large parties and number of guests being seated. Assists in properly setting and aligning tables. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested. Must be certified in all host areas of responsibility.
