Regional Human Resources Manager

The Regional Human Resource Manager is responsible for managing all hands-on aspects of the human resource function of the Midwest region and brand of Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc., company-owned restaurants, including Einstein Bros., Noah’s, and New World Coffee concepts.  Responsible for implementing human resource plans and processes to support the successful growth and operation of the company. Essential Functions: Supervise Recruitment Coordinators to provide staffing for the region.  Identify talent within and outside of the organization for open positions.  Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates, provide recommendations to Vice President - HR. Provide advice and guidance for ongoing successful employee relations.  Review documentation and action plans to ensure essential elements are communicated.  Assist in defining staffing levels and plans to ensure cost effective performance of the region. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and legislation.  Assist Regional Vice President – Operations in evaluation of staffing reports, selection decisions, and results of human resource processes in relation to regional goals.  Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the region. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the current employee issues.  Recommend efforts and training to address ongoing issues. Additional Responsibilities That May Be Performed: Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations and industry trends regarding human resources. Provide feedback to Regional Vice President – Operations to ensure consistent focus and support of restaurants. Education, Experience and Skills Required: Education & Experience Minimum of a B.A./B.S. degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years broad-based human resource experience. Previous experience with multi-site, multi-state, multi-functional organizations. SPHR a plus. Job-Related Skills Ability to objectively coach employees and management through difficult and emotional issues.  Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, and law. Excellent communication skills, including presentation Proficient with various computer applications Organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills Internal/External Interactions: Internal Interactions This position interacts internally with all levels of the organization, providing leadership, management, and vision. External Interactions This position interacts externally with job applicants, consultants, and vendors. Leadership Responsibility: This position has supervisory responsibilities for one employee providing recruiting support.
