Safety Specialist
This growth position allows exposure to skills used in the safety area as well as Risk Management, Security and other supporting departments. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Partner with Safety manager in maintaining Domino’s Pizza store and Supply Chain Center safety programs and policies· Assist in the evaluation of risk management, safety hotline, industry and other data to identify hazard trends and determine causal relationships. Once identified, assist in design and implementation of accident reduction programs and procedures.· Provide assistance to Team USA and Supply Chain Center team members concerning safety and security injury prevention, incentive, and other health and safety related programs. · Act as a resource and safety expert for Supply Chain auditors on policy and regulatory issues. Review audits when completed and direct preventative actions to Safety Coordinators.· Act a resource and safety expert for Security Specialists, Safety Coordinators and DC audit team on regulatory requirements and safe work practices.· Assist in writing communication pieces, preparing text and design for articles, postings, guides and other communication pieces.· Be available for training classes and workshops as needed or as requested.· Partner with Safety Manager to identify and assess target areas and safety needs analysis based on reports. Safety Hotline/HEAT System Statistical Analysis and Maintenance · Evaluate Safety Hotline data for highest level of accuracy, completeness of information and proper execution. Evaluate daily reports taken by Safety Hotline system for consistency and coding errors. Grade incidents for preventability and record-ability for the allocation program and statistical needs. Request updates from the appropriate party to correct any deficient issues and complete the incident investigations.· Evaluate and correct any issues with pre-formatted reports, determining which data sets should be used and comparing for accuracy. Design new reports based upon user requests, partnering with Information Services. Ensure data produced is accurate, fulfills the user’s needs, and distributed accordingly.· Partner with various departments to create and complete various safety and security reports for stores and supply chain centers. Report packages are received by the Leadership Team, Team USA, Supply Chain Services, Risk Management, Security and Finance. · Attend Worker’s Compensation Docket to review injury cases and update system details.· Recommend process improvements in the evaluation of system programming needs and coordinate any upgrade processes. Act as liaison with Domino’s Farms on Safety Hotline Contract· Evaluate day to day performance to assure accurate and quality reporting. Meet with Safety Hotline Supervisor to discuss ongoing issues and give direction. · Partner with End User Technology to support and maintain the HEAT system. Address HEAT data integrity, system security, reporting needs and system functionality. Meet weekly with IS support to address issues and needs.· Act as a liaison for other departments who use the HEAT system. Communicate with core user group of department representatives to advise on troubleshooting, voice needs and issues. Finance Coordination · Partner with Safety Manager in budgeting process for Safety and Department by gathering previous year’s data, researching and compiling data for new expenses and entering information in spreadsheets. · Complete processing of Safety and Security departments bills. Evaluate budgets every period to ensure expenses were booked appropriately and review variances.· Address bill processing issues with Accounts Payable and vendors. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Engineering requiredFour years experience in related position preferredExcellent communication and technical writing skillsAbility to work on several projects simultaneouslyData analysis skills as well as the ability to formulate presentations on information gathered.Strong organizational skills with precision in work and attention to details Strong computer skills and the ability to use many different programs Ability to travel – 20% To apply, please send resume and salary requirements to recruiter2@dominos.com with Safety in the subject line.
