Reinhart FoodService, the 3rd. largest, privately held, foodservice distributor in the United States, is experiencing tremendous growth and is looking to expand our sales force in the Wilkes-Barre, PA and Scranton, PA area. Reinhart FoodService operates out of distribution centers throughout the Midwestern and Eastern United States. Reinhart FoodService sells all types of foodservice products to schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and restaurants.

Position Summary

Represents Reinhart FoodService to potential and existing customers. Promotes sales of food products & restaurant supplies & equipment through personal or telephone contact.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Promotes sales of food products & restaurant supplies & equipment to potential and existing accounts within the assigned territory.

· Develops business relationships with potential and existing customers in order to maintain/expand market

· Collects payment for all products sold

· Completes and submits necessary paperwork and reports relative to customer payments and credits, sales activities, etc

· Utilizes TRACS system and promotes usage among specified customers

· Attends sales meetings and training/marketing functions

· May deliver product to customers in emergency situations

Qualifications

· Basic knowledge of the food service distribution industry and/or sales through either past experience or education required.

· Great communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers

· High degree of initiative and self-motivation

· Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

· Must reside within the immediate Wilkes-Barre or Scranton area.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to alternately or continuously sit, walk and/or stand through the day.

· Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate a laptop computer.

· Infrequent lifting (assisted or unassisted) may be required when making emergency deliveries to customers. Average case weight of 25-30 pounds.

Working Conditions

· Exposure to the outdoor environment when calling on customers.

· Extensive travel within assigned local territory.
