Service Manager

Erickson Retirement Communities was named to Fortune magazine's 2008 '100 Best Companies to Work For'® Riderwood, close to Baltimore and Washington DC, is an exciting and innovative Retirement Community seeking Service Managers. RESPONSIBILITIES:§ Supervising the overall efficiency of dining room operations.§ Supervising, scheduling, evaluating, training, hiring and disciplining all dining room staff, Service Coaches and supervisors.  § Maintaining effective communication with managers, fellow Service Managers, Supervisors, subordinates and all other coworkers.§ Supervising organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas and loading dock.§ Ensuring proper portioning of foods, attractive plate presentation and serving required diets for meals, nourishment and snacks.  § Supervising opening and closing of food service operation. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to concurrently supervise multiple dining rooms involving large number of employees while meeting regulatory requirements. Experience in dining room management, including production, service and sanitation.
